Manufactured in September 1980 (stamped "SEP 80 H 83") by the legendary Sligh Furniture of Holland, Michigan, this desk is as structurally robust as it is visually striking. The piece features a classic five-drawer configuration with authentic recessed brass campaign pulls and protective brass-bound corners. It sits atop a slender, polished brass H-stretcher "floating" base, providing a sleek, airy profile despite its substantial executive proportions.
The writing surface is an inset of high-grade, gold-tooled leather with intricate filigree embossing, offering a sophisticated texture contrast to the slick lacquered frame.
