Constructed from a mix of solid and veneered Brazilian rosewood replete with exceptional old-growth woodgrains this aesthetically pleasing desk is captivating from every angel and features elegant details like the hand-carved inset handles, solid brass skeleton key whole and polished birch inner drawer boxes.

The desk is finished on all sides and can therefor easily stand in the middle of a room. Five drawers provide ample storage in the front and whilst two shelves are fixed in on the backside for display or storage. Bold and grand in design and materials utilized, this desk is simultaneously rather petite at only 56.75" x 28.75" making it ideal for smaller spaces.

Born in Denmark in 1927 Iversen attended the Academy of Fine Arts, in the furniture making and design department, under the tutorship of the now iconic Kaare Klint. Throughout the 50's and 60's Iversen produced his furniture in many different factories around Denmark, but he is best known for his models designed and manufactured at Komfort and Vinde Møbelfabrik.

In 1968 his bedroom no. 92 from Vinde Møbelfabrik was exhibited at the furniture fair in Geneva. It happened that Monaco's Prince Rainier and his wife, Grace Kelly were attending, spotting it at the show and immediately ordered one. With a Hollywood icon and a royal prince as fans, this contributed to his bedroom furniture becoming popular in the US market.

In excellent original, vintage condition this iconic Model 80 executive desk is perfect for collectors searching for a rare, nearly un-touched rosewood 80 desk. It's petite size makes it ideal for designers who are limited in space but unwilling to compromise on function or style. Make it yours today.
