A mid-century, Jens Quistgaard-designed salt shaker and pepper grinder combination produced by Dansk Denmark from the late 1950s through the 1970s. The model ID is "Mushroom Short" #1616.
This mill belongs to the mushroom family of shapes, characterized by a round, columnar base, a slender neck, topped by a squashed ball resembling traditional convex cap fungi.
The piece is clean, freshly oiled, and fully operational. Salt can be loaded through the top by removing the wood peg. Pepper can be loaded through the hole on the underside.
