The plates feature beautifully molded naturalistic leaf forms with raised veining and richly mottled glazes in vibrant turquoise and moss green tones. The glossy earthenware glaze pools and varies across the surfaces, creating wonderful depth and dimension that majolica pottery is known for.
Each plate is individually glazed, resulting in subtle variations in color and pattern. Some plates show stronger turquoise tones while others lean more toward mossy green, and the mottling and veining differ slightly from piece to piece. This variation gives the set a lively, organic character and highlights the handmade nature of traditional majolica production.
These plates are equally attractive used as tableware or displayed on a wall as a decorative grouping. As you can see, there are holes in the back for easy hanging. The bold color and sculptural leaf forms make them especially striking in traditional, garden-inspired, or eclectic interiors.
