The color could also be considered … Read more Although difficult to tell from our photos, the plates are a very light blue. The color could also be considered a light slate gray with a blue tint. Embossed around the rim is a rope-like pattern with vines, leaves and berries. These are oven proof, and very sturdy—each plate weighs 1.25 pounds.

Light to medium-ish utensil marks, much of which cannot be seen unless tilted in the light.
One plate has a stained area on the face of the plate, which is likely from manufacturing. Otherwise, there are small-ish discolored spots throughout which would likely come off with powder cleanser and a bit of elbow grease.
