Vintage Steuben John Dreves Signed Low-Footed Crystal Centerpiece Bowl – #7967
Elevate your tabletop with this iconic Vintage Steuben "Low Footed" centerpiece bowl. Designed in 1942 by the legendary John Dreves, this piece is a hallmark of American Mid-Century Modern elegance. The design features a shallow, expansive basin of heavy leaded crystal that rests gracefully upon four hand-formed scroll feet.
The architectural silhouette of the feet provides a stunning contrast to the minimalist, liquid-like clarity of the bowl’s basin. Because of Steuben’s unique glass formula, this piece offers a brilliant, diamond-like luster that serves as a perfect focal point for a formal dining table, a grand entryway console, or a chic Hollywood Regency vanity. Whether used to display floating blossoms or as a sophisticated standalone sculpture, it represents the absolute pinnacle of American Studio Glass.

Condition
Excellent Vintage Condition – This bowl is remarkably well-preserved with no chips, cracks, or clouding. The crystal remains crystal-clear and bright. Consistent with its age and authentic vintage status, the underside of the scroll feet shows very light, faint "shelf wear" from decades of resting on surfaces. The base features the authentic, hand-scribed "Steuben" signature (as seen in Image 9352).
A blue-chip acquisition for the collector of fine decorative arts, this John Dreves bowl brings museum-quality history and timeless sophistication to the modern home. It is a true investment piece that will never go out of style. Vintage Steuben Crystal "Low Footed" Centerpiece Bowl by John Dreves (c. 1940s)
