Handcrafted for utility, the harvester would shoulder the basket until full, then the unit could be set on the ground where the small wood frame would support & provided stability.

Constructed from strong, handwoven wicker with a unique pattern and design, the basket retains its original braided shoulder straps and has a few places where decorative pink fiber has been woven into the wicker handles. Basket stands 18inches tall.

Please note that the wear of the piece—includes various dings and frayed wicker and splits in the wooden frame. —is entirely consistent with its age. See less
