This Really is an Exceptionally Nice & Very Good Quality Authentic Vintage Yacht - Ships Wheel. Circa Mid 20th Century. Large Size Measuring Overall 25 Inched Tall - Long. It is Completely Hand Made out of Genuine Honduras Mahogany Wood with Fancy Lathe Turned Spokes. NOTE The Exposed Peg - Doweled Joints Construction ( No Glue Needed or Used ). One of the Handles has 3 Incised Bands - This would have been used by the Captain as a Reference to the Rudders Position. The Center Hub Substantially Cast Out of Solid Brass with a Added Chrome Plated Feature. I purchased this piece on one of my Recent Picking Adventures in the Cape Cod Massachusetts - New England Region. It is in Excellent Condition. Great Color and Patina - Displays Beautifully. Ships Wheels such as these Make Unique & Interesting Wall Decor Items.
