Meissen porcelain was the first European hard-paste porcelain. The production of porcelain in the royal factory at Meissen started in 1710 and attracted artists to one of the most famous porcelain manufacturers in the world. The blue crossed swords logo was introduced in 1720. The Vine-leaf pattern or "Weinlaub" in German is one of their signature tableware patterns and is still in existence today.
