Here is a rare example of the largest statuary Parian portrait bust of famed 19th century composer and musician Richard … Read more Here is a rare example of the largest statuary Parian portrait bust of famed 19th century composer and musician Richard Wagner (1813-1883) measuring nearly 23” tall , with manufacturers cipher “R & L” in cartouche at rear shoulder, from the Stoke-on-Trent potter Robinson & Leadbeater , in very fine condition, with slight dust accretions consistent with age . Measures about 23” tall, 15” wide, raised on large waisted socle with original brass bolt fastener.. A large and extremely fine addition for any collection and rarely found in this large size. This bust is featured in The Parian Phenomenon on page 229, figure 743, as seen in last photos. No damage, chips, or repairs. Please see photos. See less
