Émile Gallé (1846–1904) was a pivotal French artist-bottanist who led the Art Nouveau movement in glassmaking from Nancy, France. His work, often featuring organic, flowing forms and Japanese artistic influence, gained international fame after the 1889 Paris Exposition.
