Perfect for a bridal registry. Eight are available in this size. They are among a number of fine Ken Edwards Tonalá pieces available in the Lucía Landa Collection, While I grew up in Mexico City, I spent my girlhood summers surrounded by cousins in the little ranching town in Jalisco where my mother was from. Later, as a young adult I lived and worked for several years in the great capital of Jalisco, Guadalajara. On weekends I loved going to the artisans' communities in Tonalá, just outside of Guadalajara.
Among the best work in Tonalá is the stoneware of the studio of Ken Edwards, a USA native who studied art in Kansas City and Japan before settling in Tonalá in the 1960s. His studio continues its exquisite work to this day.
Ken Edwards Collection handcrafted stoneware is some of the best in the world. It is lead-free and each individual piece is a work of art in itself. The beauty of dinnerware from Ken Edwards is that each plate, each cup, each bowl is different. It is microwave safe, freezer safe, oven safe, dishwasher safe, and a pleasure to use at the dining table.
