These appear to be “Old Paris” porcelain perfume or cologne bottles, likely from the second quarter of the 19th century.
One is marked with an X on the bottom, probably indicating it was a factory second.
All have minor, sometimes hidden flaws—cracks, wear from age, and repairs made by past owners using glue and other materials. Still, the colors remain vibrant, and the hand-painted flowers with gold trim exude old-world Parisian charm.
Luxuriously crafted, the shapes serve both functional purposes and as status symbols, while butterflies and detailed scenes showcase the era’s fine craftsmanship.
Clearly influenced by Empire and Rococo styles, they feature bouquets, intricate painting, and generous gold gilding on stoppers, necks, and sides. The porcelain is likely hard-paste ceramic. While not a perfectly matched set, they’ve been thoughtfully assembled to highlight each bottle’s unique design. Two bottles measure 3" x 3" x 7", one is 3.25" x 3.25" x 5.5", and the last is 2.25" x 2.25" x 5.5".
All have dome-shaped stoppers; we consider the standout piece the square bottle with blue panels, green trim, gold embellishments, and fine detailing—a truly special piece.
