We offer for sale a charming table or wall clock dating back to the early 1900s. This piece reflects the aesthetic canons of the Empire Style (Neoclassical), characterized by a rigorous and elegant architecture.
Aesthetics and Case: The structure is made of solid wood, crafted in the classic "temple" or portico shape: the central body is flanked by two fluted lateral columns with turned capitals, which support the upper entablature topped with pinnacles. At the base, a small brass railing adds a refined detail. A distinctive and highly decorative element are the two large metal bells placed exposed at the bottom, beneath the dial.
The Dial: The dial, protected by a metal bezel, presents a refined stylistic contrast: despite being set in an austere case, the center is decorated with golden floral motifs (a more elegant touch typical of late 19th/early 20th century production) and blue/black Roman numerals.
Movement: Powered by a manually wound mechanical movement.
