A scalloped, embossed silver edge trim features hounds and flowers are embossed on the silver overlay surrounding the central cartouche all on a vibrant cobalt blue porcelain ground. Lovely antique patina however, will polish up nicely if so desired. Unique hostess gift for a country house or lover of fox hunting and horses.

The history of Mitterteich factory starts in 1887. It was established by Ludwig Lindner. In 1895 the factory was taken over by Mosanic Pottery Max Emanuel & Co. from London. The company was confiscated by Bavarian authorities during World War I. From 1917 on, it was called Porzellanfabrik Mitterteich A.G. It ceased operations in 2006.

In very good antique condition considering age and history. Zoom in on photos to see any imperfections including some platinum finish loss on the trim on the base, tarnished surfaces, a few scratches on the foxhunting scene and other platinum surfaces, and a few surface blemishes on the porcelain. No chips, cracks or crazing. See less
