This Italian micromosaic picture frame is framed by finely set glass tesserae in soft jewel tones, forming a richly textured border around a warm gilt metal center. Each tiny piece is hand-laid, reflecting Italy’s long tradition of micromosaic craftsmanship, where hundreds of glass fragments are arranged to create intricate, decorative surfaces.
With its unusually petite 1.75" opening, smaller than most examples of this type, the format feels intimate and refined—perfect for displaying a treasured portrait, miniature artwork, or keepsake image. A timeless decorative accent for desks, shelves, or display cabinets.
