This bronze bust of a child at rest isn’t trying to be fancy or dramatic.
This bronze has that beautiful, dark glow that only comes with age, though you’ll see some warmer tones peeking through on the forehead and cheeks. It sits on a solid block of black marble, which adds a nice bit of structure against the softer look of the bronze. It’s signed and put together the old-school way, typical of late 19th-century French workshops.
