Designed by industrial designer Belle Kogan, who studied at Pratt Institute, Rhode Island School of Design, and Pforzheim (German Art School).

Belle created in many mediums besides ceramics, including metal, glass and Bakelite. She also worked with Red Wing Pottery, which is why our piece looks so similar to many of Red Wing's designs.

There are no chips nor cracks nor crazing. Original gold label adhered, but dog-eared in one corner. Raised maker's mark and item number on back reads: Roseville USA, 202-10. It is noted elsewhere that the mold 202-10 is called a Compartment Tray.
