Handsome pair of antique ladder-back chairs featuring turned wood frames and hand-woven rush seats in a traditional four-quadrant pattern. The tall ladder backs have softly scalloped slats and elegant proportions, making these a timeless choice for farmhouse, cottage, or European-inspired interiors.
The wood frames show a rich, dark patina consistent with age and use. The rush seats are original and display visible wear, fraying, and breaks in areas (see photos), contributing to their authentic, timeworn character, but they are structurally sound/solid.
Perfect as accent chairs, bedroom seating, hallway pieces, or styled at a dining table where patina is embraced. A beautiful example of honest antique craftsmanship with soul.
