It is called a Persian hunting rug and they are often done with various animal motifs. It is a very soft wool and in a tan / burnt orange background with black stripes and a cream outline with wide figurative bright eyes. It would look very fun laid down under an accent chair or table at an angle for a focal point in any room. Such a fun and interesting rug. It is in excellent vintage condition.
