Up for sale is an exceedingly rare antique 19th century birdcage made by world famous gunsmith Wesley Richards in London.
… Read more Up for sale is an exceedingly rare antique 19th century birdcage made by world famous gunsmith Wesley Richards in London.
It features a sleek Victorian style out of sterling and mother of pearl inlaid wood and very well done.
It is embellished with blue stained glass paneling and brass wrapped wiring throughout.
The cage has a velour wrapped hanging chain and its original W Richards brass manufacturer plaque on the front.
It is in good used condition and measures 21 inches tall by 10 1/2 inches wide by 10 1/2 inches long.
There are a couple very small chips to the wood and it has some missing wire embellishments on the top as shown in last photo. See less
