Meet your new favorite coastal conversation piece.
This handmade ceramic plate features five beautifully marbled “faux oyster” forms created using a nerikomi (agateware) technique — where layered slips are sliced and inlaid to produce natural stone-like, shell-inspired striations. The background is finished in a soft celadon-style glaze with delicate crackle (crazing), giving the entire piece an ethereal, tidal-pool glow.
Subtle hand-brushed botanical motifs add to the organic, sea-washed aesthetic, making this plate equally perfect as a serving piece, catchall, or decorative display plate for shelves, walls, or tablescapes.
It is handmade, signed with initials on the back, and crafted from white clay. No chips or scratches. Light crazing is present, which is typical of celadon glazes and adds character and vintage charm.
✨ Style it with linen napkins, oysters on ice, or nothing at all — it’s that good.
