Circa 1830-60 lap desk writing box on custom side table stand, English. Highly figured walnut with full brass bindings (with wear), engraving shield (unused) & escutcheon. Antique, worn purple leather writing surface with tooling & gilt tooling. Lacks interior drawers. Now on custom, cross-stretchered, side table height stand. Condition commensurate with age and use.
