This vintage Wedgwood blue jasperware small plate features a white relief profile of Winston Churchill framed by a classical laurel border. Impressed “WEDGWOOD / MADE IN ENGLAND” marks with additional date/production codes to the base are consistent with 1980s jasperware production. The piece retains its original purple Wedgwood presentation box and “Wedgwood – a living tradition” leaflet, along with the side label reading “J1000 3178 Churchill Round Tray – Blenheim Palace,” confirming its issue for Blenheim Palace. Measuring approximately 4.25 in (11 cm) in diameter, it is an ideal size for use as a pin dish, coin dish, or small accent plate on a bookshelf or desk. This is a lovely piece for any Churchill, British political history, or Wedgwood jasperware collection, especially desirable complete with its original packaging and Blenheim Palace provenance.
