British original small antique 19th century Victorian gilt bronze circular portrait medallion plaque depicting Charles C. Hopkins in side profile, facing left. The subject is shown as a half-length profile portrait, smartly dressed in a suit with a traditional moustache. A highly collectible, museum-quality display piece with superb late-Victorian casting and a smooth-to-the-touch surface.
In the manner of Sir George Frampton (British, 1860–1928), gilt bronze portrait plaquette, dated 1895.
Date: Late 19th century Victorian era; rim dated in Roman numerals MDCCCXCV (1895).
Origin: England.
Material: Cast bronze with gilt finish.
Markings: Indistinct/partially legible sculptor’s mark to the rim (not fully readable).
