It features exuberant Rococo-inspired decoration, with vegetal scrolls, volutes, and pairs of winged angels framing the circular enameled dial with Roman numerals. The piece retains its original period movement and much of its gilding, highlighting the dynamic movement and the sculptural quality of the carving. It is a prime example of the transition between late Rococo and Neoclassical styles, highly valued for both its historical and aesthetic significance. See less
