Black lacquer and gilt “Japanned” Regency/Napoleon lll style Victorian era reproduction side chair, or hallway chair.
Outer dimensions: 39” height of back x 21” depth x 21” front width, tapering back to a 15.5” width at back-of-seat.
Seat height from floor to top-of-seat: 19”
Decoratively hand painted with floral motifs at pierced vasiform back splat, front apron, crest rail and cabriole legs.
Wool worked needlepoint upholstered drop-in seat original to chair with it’s natural fiber padding. Colors in the floral details are yellow to gold, to greens, pinks, reds, blues!
