The piece fits within … Read more French brass bar trolley from circa 1955–1965 with a round silhouette and two smoked glass tiers. The piece fits within the Hollywood Regency tradition, characterised by neoclassical references and a decorative yet balanced approach to form. The trolley features a brass frame with two circular glass shelves in a dark tint, finished with a pierced gallery edge. The tripod base with profiled, fluted column legs rests on wheels, giving the design a light and elegant appearance. The use of materials and refined detailing relate closely to the work of Parisian interior ateliers such as Maison Jansen and comparable studios. Dimensions: 60 × 55 × 66 cm / 23.6 × 21.7 × 26 in (W×D×H). Height of the upper tier: 61 cm / 24 in; height of the lower tier: 22 cm / 8.7 in. The condition of this bar trolley is very good. The brass shows an attractive, even patina with light signs of use consistent with age. The glass is intact and the wheels move smoothly.
