Small stools, benches and chairs, for me, have always been somewhat of an accessory piece around our home; you can never have too many. A good one fits into any space, small or large and can be moved around from room-to-room, space-to-space, to meet the need of the moment, whether it been seating or décor. This well-crafted solid maple wood saddle seat stool, or small bench, has a rustic refined look about it. With its mortise and tenon joinery construction and bobbin-shaped legs supported by double box stretchers, it’s a timeless piece that will complement any style, any space. This beauty measures 19¼” x 17¼” x 13” H/W/D; seat 14” x 13” W/D; seat-to-floor height 18½” weight approximately 12 to 15 lbs.; mortise and tenon joinery construction; solid maple wood frame; pale wheat hue, naturally aged fiber rush seat; mid-tone coffee hued stain finish allows the maple wood grain to show beautifully under the lacquer finish. Handcrafted sometime in the mid 20th-century by an unknown maker. In excellent condition with age-appropriate wear that includes a few indiscernible areas of wear to the fiber rush seat that does not detract from its beauty or utility (see photos 7, 13 & 14). Photographed in the round to show all sides and nuances of design and construction throughout.

This beauty will complement most any design style as an extra seating option in a guest room or nursery or as an eye-catching accent, in an entryway, mud room or breezeway.
