This large Art Deco centerpiece bowl was produced by Verlys France in 1935 and features an elegant fern leaf border molded in satin frosted glass. Substantial in size and striking in form, this oval bowl exemplifies the refined natural motifs and modern lines that defined French Art Deco glass of the period.
The underside bears the impressed mark: “A Verlys France,” confirming French manufacture—an important distinction, as some Verlys designs were later produced in the United States under license. This example was made in France, where the firm’s highest-quality art glass originated.

About Verlys
