Shenango China Navy Salad/Dessert Plates 7 1/8"W Set of 8. These have a date mark A-30 for January 1930. This is a US Navy Wardroom Officer's dinner plate, also known as "Anchor China", produced by manufacturers such as Homer Laughlin, Shenango, and McNicol.
Design: Features a white base with a cobalt blue stripe and a "fouled anchor" insignia.
Purpose: Used by wardroom officers (lieutenant commander and above) in the US Navy mess.
Material: Made from durable, industrial-grade vitrified restaurantware or hotel china, designed to withstand use at sea.
