Mid-Century large Studio pottery platter by renowned California artist Eric Norstad (1924-2013).
Measures 15.2" diameter, signed on bottom.
Eric Norstad lived in the San Francisco bay area, and is also associated with the pottery of the Pacific Northwest. He is best know for his exhibitions at the Everson Museum, Ceramic Nationals. Eric Norstad also studied with Shoji Hamada in the 1960s. You can clearly see the Japanese Mingei influences in his glazing.
