Design & Construction
The clock is constructed from a harmonious combination of alabaster, hand-painted enamel, and fire-gilded 24-carat bronze. At its center is a magnificent blue enamel plaquette, meticulously hand-painted and mounted onto a softly luminous alabaster ground. The enamel is framed by exquisitely detailed gilded bronze mounts, which enhance the richness and depth of the composition.
The reverse and supporting stand are also fully executed in beautifully finished fire-gilded bronze, confirming that this clock was designed to be admired from every angle.
