This sink was produced 118 years ago, but has very few blemishes to show for its age. Every surface, including the basin, has a nice glossy finish with barely a scratch to be found. The vast majority of imperfections present are part of the make up of the piece. There are slots in the bottom for it to be used with a console base, or it can be "deck-mounted". It sat on a metal base that was too deteriorated to include here, but another of this type of sink from the same house was mounted on a flat surface. This is the easiest and least expensive route to take, as all it involves is cutting a hole in the countertop, applying sealant and setting the sink down. Top to bottom conditions: The "Standard" faucets are in excellent condition with no chrome deterioration or damage, and relatively little wear. The waste tube is fine and functions as it should. The porcelain cap is damage free, and the upper metal portion is very good. The section below that is showing its age as there is wear to the finish down to the brass in areas. This sink has not been used for decades, thus the faucets have not been recently tested with water. The turning of the handles does, however, feel correct. Aside from a few very faint scratches from what looks like light use, the following was found: There is a very small, 0.03" dark blue dot in front of the spout, and a 0.02" speck in front of, and to the left of the left faucet that are both impurities that were built into the sink. On the right side of the basin midway to the edge of the sink there are two very shallow, almost invisible chips, the larger measuring 0.07", and a 0.25" blemish to the right of the right faucet that is not damage but is part of the make up of the piece. There is also a tiny (0.04") mark on the left, near the front, that may or may not be a chipped spot. The rest of the horizontal surface around, in back, and in front of the basin is in very good condition overall. The vertical outside surfaces are excellent on the whole. There is some very slight wear on the front top edge, otherwise all is fine. The interior of the basin has a glossy finish down the sides to the bottom. There is a picture of the bottom that would not normally be included due to the glare, but it shows that there is next to no wear present. Aside from a light rust ring to the right near the front (that may be removable with more effort), and a couple very small chips at the drain hole, the basin looks very good. There is a 0.13" blemish at the front, left that looks to be manufacturer created, otherwise all is fine. The underside is also in fine shape. The only spot found to point out is a 0.08" chip forward of the front, left "leg" hole. The rest is all very good. The plumbing pieces look to be in good shape overall with no issues to report, and they appear to be in good, usable condition. Please see the pictures for further details.
