We are beginning to offer some of our personal items as we start to scale back for retirement. This is a whimsical and adorable Valentine Jester Textile and Plaster Sculpture from Italy. Crafted in the late 1940s, the Jester holds a velvet heart with a gold Cherub medallion. He stands 28” tall on a museum like mount with a round wood base. He was always the centerpiece for our dining room table during the Valentine's holiday. His bright violet, eggplant, persimmon, red and gold trimmed flared suit jacket, leggings and curl-toed shoes always worked well with a variety of fresh flowers and candle holders. But it’s his face you will fall for. He has a long nose, wide smile and adoring eyes. We have loved having him, but it’s time he ventures on to grace a new home.
