This is a heirloom quality set of 6 solid oak windsor dining chairs signed by American chairmaker H.W. Hull & … Read more This is a heirloom quality set of 6 solid oak windsor dining chairs signed by American chairmaker H.W. Hull & Sons of Gardena, CA.

The dining chairs constructed of solid oak with wedged mortise and tenon joints. Each chair has a hoop back rail, central shaped and pierced back splat, and 4 finely turned spindles. There are 2 additional spindles stretching from the top of the back to the tail of the seat, providing extra support and stability, a construction called a “brace back.” The saddle shaped plank seats are mounted on 4 splayed turned legs supported by a turned double H stretcher. These chairs stand out because of the unusual carved urn and floral medallion on the back splats.

The 1940s era dining chairs are in very good vintage condition with age appropriate wear. The chairs are rock solid with absolutely no movement in the joints. Some minor wear on the wood finish. Please see photos for more details.

Each chair measures 18” wide, 20.5” deep, and 40” tall with a 17.5” seat height..
