The chair with the original brown leather back and seat, the leather is attached to the chair with decorative brass studs, the leather is in great condition and has a wonderful rich warm patina.
The gently curved arms terminate to scrolled handrests carved with acanthus leaves, below are hand-carved 'Barley-Twist' supports, the chair seat also having the original brown leather.
The chair base with Barley Twist stretchers with turned block and baluster shaped legs and raised on compressed bun feet. The chair is in excellent antique condition, the chair is very substantial, sturdy and very comfortable, the leather and mahogany is beautifully patinated and all original.
