Antique exquisitely carved Japanese high back, red lacquer arm chair featuring dragon head arm rests and monkeys in a persimmon tree back. It's a stunning example of Japanese 19th Century, Meiji period, hand carved furniture made for export. In as found condition with wear to the seat, around the calligraphy carved medallions. The chair is sturdy with a little movement to both arms and minor blemishes and imperfections to the dark red lacquered finish.
