This 1970s desk clock, manufactured in weimar (former east germany), features a space age design characteristic of the modernist aesthetics of that era. The compact, almost cylindrical body, 16 cm high and 12 cm in diameter, is made of smooth, cream-beige plastic with a matte finish. The front is marked by a shiny black rim surrounding the dial – a detail that highlights the geometric, circular form and contrasts with the warm tone of the body. The satin-black dial features white, bold numerals and distinctive german lettering arranged radially across the surface, with white hands for legibility. A rectangular base and a short black “leg” support the whole, ensuring stability and emphasizing the clarity of the form. The clock is based on an original r14 battery-powered mechanism, with harmoniously matched details and proportions typical of that period. The minimalist form of the clock communicates modernity as understood through the prism of the 1970s – geometric logic and synthetic materials evoke images of a future where precision and functionality play the leading role. The combination of matte and glossy finishes resembles the contrast of light and shadow characteristic of space age design. The clean lines make time seem to slow down, and the clock becomes an object of focus and balance – an object that “collects” time within a distinctive circle. The clock is worth placing solo on a low console, desk, or shelf in the living room, where it will showcase its collectible character. It can be combined with accessories based on black, white, or metallic accents – steel or chrome will emphasize its geometric form. Surrounded by wood paneling and simple textiles, the clock will serve as a graphic accent; in a minimalist arrangement, it goes well with lighting fixtures with clean lines and atmospheric graphics from the era. The clock is equipped with an r14 battery-powered mechanism and is made entirely of plastic. Its compact dimensions (16 × 12 × 6 cm) allow it to be placed on a limited space on a worktop or shelf. It is recommended to wipe the casing regularly with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the matte surface and legibility of details. This piece has an attribution mark,
