Tall and architectural, this Victorian-style pier mirror frame brings serious presence to a wall even without glass. The ebonized black finish, turned columns, and broken-arch pediment give it a strong silhouette designers love.
This type of frame originally would have held a hall or pier mirror in a late 19th-century interior. Today it works beautifully as a dramatic surround for a custom mirror, artwork panel, or even a wall-mounted sconce or planter for a layered, “found” look.
Details

Top center finial missing (pediment retains original outline)
Visible surface wear, chips, rubs, and small losses throughout the painted finish
Old hardware holes and marks at the upper side blocks
Structurally intact and sturdy as shown
Measures approximately 55.5"H × 31"W × 2"D
Will require appropriate hanging hardware to be added on the back to suit your installation
Condition
This is a genuine, previously used piece with heavy cosmetic wear that reads as character rather than perfection: scuffs, edge wear, and small dings to the later black paint, plus the missing center finial and absence of mirror glass. Please review all photos closely; additional detail photos are available on request.
Ideal for interior designers and homeowners looking for:
A tall architectural surround for a custom mirror
A dramatic frame for art, icon, or wall-mounted sculpture
A “found object” statement over a console, mantel, or in an entry hall
Sold as found and ready to customize—this frame offers the scale and silhouette of a Victorian pier mirror with the flexibility to make it your own.
