A Antique English Mahogany Gothic Georgian Side Chair, 18th Century
English, circa 1780-1800
Mahogany frame, with a beech seat frame. Reeded front legs and mounted corner corbels in each corner of the seat rails. Pierce cut flat gothic splat.
Size: 21" wide, 17" deep, 37 1/4" tall, 17 1/2" seat height.
Condition, The legs may have been lowered from original height by about 1". We feel the corbels mounted in the corners are replacements. Several of the interior seat from glue blocks appear to be replaced. use and wear scuffs, dings are consistent with age. Seat covering will need to be replaced, as it has a few tears.
