The gently scalloped rim adds classic period charm, while the subtle blush-toned shading near the edge gives it that coveted “timeworn elegance” look collectors love. Perfect as a serving platter for a holiday table, a centerpiece base for candles, or styled upright on open shelving for an instant English country-house moment.

The well-respected fabricator, John Edwards, acquiring a porcelain company founded in the late 1700s, transitioned the product line to include "porcelain de terre" (glazed earthenware/ironstone) intended for the American market. This pattern, "Wind Flower" bears a mark, en verso, dating the piece to the period 1891-1900, thus being well into its 2nd century of enjoyment!
