a large, highly decorative gilt brass and glass hall lantern (c. 1940sb 1970s) in the opulent rococo revival style. The frame is heavily cast with scrolling foliage and shells. Acquired at a christie's south kensington auction. Excellent quality statement piece for a grand entrance.
