Expertly refinished neoclassical style writing desk or library table by Baker, made in the USA c. 1980s. This is the second of two that we have available for purchase – same make and time period, but with slightly different grain patterns on the top and sides.
The burlwood desktop rests upon a cherrywood curule base. Brass floral medallions cap the stylized stretcher bar and the drawer faces. The reddish, earthy base contrasts beautifully with the radiant golden color of the tabletop.
This desk embodies the exceptional materials and craftsmanship Baker is known for.
Fully refinished with no noteworthy flaws.
