French 19th c. fauteuil chair, possibly late 19th c. Beautiful patina to the gilt frame, with acanthus leaf and rosette details. Fluted legs and arms. From Burgundy, France.
Recently upholstered in a moss green mohair velvet, with a single welt at edges.
Note some imperfections to the gilt, missing decoration at side detail. Minor loss to the gilt on the back of the chair. Overall the chair is structurally sound and these minor imperfections only add to the beautiful antique character of this authentic French chair.
