Belgium / 18th Century / Liege Armchair / oak / Antique
A chair that speaks in whispers of history, carved from solid oak in 18th-century Liège, this armchair carries the soul of a bygone interior. Its high back, crowned with floral carvings, evokes the rhythm of Baroque ornamentation, while the outward-curving arms and turned supports lend a sculptural grace. The seat, worn smooth by time, invites contemplation.
A solitary piece that anchors a room, rich in patina and presence. Ideal for decorators seeking depth, texture, and a touch of European heritage. Whether placed beside a fireplace, in a quiet reading corner, or layered into a gallery-like setting, it offers a moment of stillness and story.
Rich in patina and presence, this chair is in good antique condition with authentic wear due to its age that makes it even more beautiful (see detailed pictures).
