Designed for export, … Read more This early 20th-century Japanese transferware plate was produced by Nikko and bears the classic Double Phoenix backstamp. Designed for export, it features a romantic central floral bouquet framed by an ornate Rococo-style border, printed in warm sepia brown on a creamy glazed surface. Its age appropriate glaze crazing adds depth and character. Measures approximately 10" across. In good to very good vintage condition with age-appropriate crazing, light surface wear, and minor discoloration to the reverse. No chips, cracks, or repairs. A beautiful decorative accent for English country, French provincial, or eclectic interiors, and a strong addition to a transferware collection. See less
