Crafted in Italy circa 1860, the round table features an urn-shaped pedestal resting on a molded circular base, decorated with deeply carved acanthus leaves, fluted details, beaded moldings, and a beautifully aged gilt and polychrome finish.

The circular tabletop is fitted with a traditional verre églomisé glass panel, reverse-painted with a colorful bird perched on a flowering branch, surrounded by scrolling foliage, floral motifs, and clusters of fruit. The vibrant composition features soft shades of coral, blue, green, and gold against a dramatic black background. A carved rope-twist border frames the glass surface, while a continuous leaf-carved apron adds further decorative interest.

The sculptural pedestal retains its original character, with a rich combination of rubbed gilding, warm reddish-brown tones, and muted green accents. The antique table is in good condition commensurate with age and use, with expected surface wear and a small crack in the glass top, as shown in the photographs. A distinctive accent piece for a living room, sitting area, or entryway.
