An extraordinary sculptural centerpiece in Murano art glass, signed and dated Yalos Murano, 2008. This striking work exemplifies the refined experimentation of contemporary Murano glassmaking, where traditional techniques are reinterpreted through a bold, expressive language. The piece is characterized by an elegant, asymmetrical oval form, entirely lined on the exterior with hand-applied gold leaf, creating a luminous, almost liquid surface that shifts with the light. The interior reveals an opalescent glass body infused with golden inclusions, producing iridescent reflections that range from soft pearlescent tones to vivid chromatic highlights, depending on the angle and lighting. The contrast between the dense, radiant gold exterior and the ethereal, atmospheric interior gives the piece a strong sculptural presence, blurring the boundary between decorative object and art glass sculpture. The dynamic curvature and fluid profile make it a powerful centerpiece, ideal as a focal point for a dining table, console, or curated display. Founded in 1994, Yalos Murano is known for combining classical Murano techniques—such as gold leaf application and layered glass—with contemporary design sensibilities. Their works are highly regarded for technical precision, expressive color research, and sculptural ambition. Condition Good vintage condition. There are a few small losses to the gold leaf on the exterior, consistent with use, as clearly visible in the photographs. These minor imperfections do not detract from the overall visual impact and authenticity of the piece. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
