Each piece features a folded spathe form with a hollow interior, rather than a raised central tongue, and is set on a pedestal base; small air bubbles are visible, consistent with hand-formed glasswork of the period. Hollow Jack-in-the-Pulpit vases of this type are a recognized early decorative glass form and are sometimes described visually as calla lily–shaped. The pair displays beautifully as mantel accents, shelf decor, or flanking a console or vanity for a dramatic jewel-toned statement. This pair has been irradiated to produce the beautiful amethyst purple color. See less
